Still Hungover: Bowling For Soup’s 20 Year Anniversary

Currently on their 20th Anniversary tour of A Hangover You Don’t Deserve, Salt lake City welcomed the 90’s pop-punk band Bowling For Soup at The Depot on October 12th!

It was such a surreal experience for everyone that attended. To be able to hear music from their favorite childhood band live was a memorable experience for many. From hearing the iconic song 1985 to listening to the rest of their previous songs made for a really energetic night.

Something that you don’t see often is seeing a band perform just as well as when they started, and Bowling For Soup was one of those bands this year. I was really impressed by the stage set-up, outfit choices, and the overall show. Their voices have not aged, and it was beautiful to see the crowd sing their hearts out to their favorite songs.

You could see in everyone’s eyes how excited and happy they were once Bowling For Soup hit the stage. It was awesome to see many different age groups attend this show. It shows that not only is the older generation enjoying their childhood music, but also the upcoming generation will let their music live on in the future.

I was able to have the opportunity to photograph Bowling For Soup which was an amazing experience for me. I grew up with their music and to be able to capture them live and experience the live performance was incredible. 

I’d love to see Bowling For Soup on more tours and to see them come out with new music. With their young and fiery spirits, I can see them having another successful album that’ll only make them more memorable than they already are. 

Following their sold out show in Salt Lake City, Bowling For Soup is still on tour with many upcoming sold out shows. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to relive their childhood memories!
