UK Music Legend Johnny Marr Opens For The Killers During Tour
Coming off of a double album release, UK music legend Johnny Marr is opening for The Killers at their upcoming show at Vivint Arena, August 30th!
As former co-founder of The Smiths, Marr is regarded as one of the most respected and well-liked men in rock. From song-writing to guitar playing to being a member of some of the industry’s most iconic bands, Marr has been doing it all throughout his career, and has cemented his name in the history books. As of late, he’s even found himself on the big screen, as opposed to the big stage, playing the guitar for songs that are showcased in feature films such as “No Time To Die” and “Top Gun: Maverik”. His most recent double album, released in February, Fever Dreams Pt 1-4, only adds to his catalog of impressive work. While the album reflects on his decades long multidimensional past, it also takes his music to a new and exciting place, perhaps showcasing a new direction for the guitarist: “There’s a set of influences and a very broad sound that I’ve been developing – and I hear it in this record. There are so many strands of music in it. I think it’s the most ambitious solo record I’ve done.” The double album is available on all streaming platforms, and you can tune in below.
While Marr has opened for The Killer previously, this time around, he was personally invited by lead singer, and newfound friend, Brandon Flowers, to accompany the band on their US stadium tour.
