Treat Yo’ Self at Get Freaky with This Candy Bag of Producers

When this lineup dropped our heads were spinning. Not just because there were some big names who haven’t been here in a minute, but the lineup also brags depth of headliners down to up-and-comers. We’ll take you through each daily line up and highlight a headliner, a ‘can’t miss’ set, and a sleeper you may not know.

Promoter V2 Presents is taking us back to the Utah State Fairpark. The two main stages will be larger versions of the tent set ups at The Great Saltair. One of them has been teased as “The Haunted Big Top,” centering around a 360 stage. If you missed it last year, get a taste here.

Also new this year will be an additional (3rd) house stage, the Ranger Sound Car (@RangerSoundCar). If you haven’t seen it at a show, it’s basically a military grade art car. Transformed from a HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck), the machine has 8 wheels and is decked out in camo. Should blend right in.

Last but not least, be on the lookout for Afterparties and Daily Special Events (9pm). The afters will be at Sky and the Masonic Temple each night. Special events will feature a Friday Freak Show Costume Contest, a Saturday Gathering of the Clowns, and a Sunday Sweet Freak Show. Sounds spooky enough for our liking, plus who else loves having a good excuse to take a break?

FRIDAY

If you’re only going on Friday, it’s either because you’re a Sullivan King and Kai Wachi fan or you’re hosting the Halloween party of the century Saturday. These BFF’s won’t only be taking their shirts off, they will likely be melting your face off. Three years ago, they doubled down and played both a dubstep and first-ever house set (aka Meal Prep) at Lost Lands. They also played at EDC last year and played a mix of dubstep and bass-infused house, so expect a healthy mix of both.

Our Friday can’t miss set is Calcium, who plays a nice blend of dubstep and riddim. He has frequently supported Excision on tour and dropped two EP’s last year. Calcium also headlined his first tour last year, performing in large venues and selling out Denver. He has been on the rise and partnered with a ton of household names. If you’re guilty of “singing” along to lyricless drops, you’re going to want to catch this one.

You may not consider ALLEYCVT a sleeper, but she literally has 19 released songs. Her first release with Deadbeats was with “Glitch” November of last year, and she hasn’t released an album or EP. ALLEYCVT was in Utah this summer, but you may or may not have made it due to the Crankdat 360 show being moved to Park City. Prior to that, she paid Salt Lake City a visit at Fear Factory in 2023. She has a unique way of mixing catchy pop with heavy bass that is an energizing mid-tempo journey. If you’re a bass fan, it’s time you pay her some respect.

SATURDAY

Let’s just get it out there – Saturday is wicked. There’s a guaranteed chance you will have a conflict when set times drop. JAUZ went from an artist that “never” comes here, to an artist we’ve seen show up back-to-back years. According to an August interview with We Rave You, Jauz launched a baby into the world and officially relaunched his label, Bite This, from the ground up. As Jauz continues to push the needle for bass, we’ll be eagerly waiting for another fin-tastic set. So, Salt Lake… we’re gonna need a bigger boat.

Don’t skip Grabbitz’s set either. On top of his 3-song EP In The Dark, he’s appeared on some huge hits the last couple years, including You Were Right with Illenium and Wooli, the Valorant (video game) sound track, and Into Pieces with Subtronics and Wooli. Two of Grabbitz’s three studio albums have also been released since 2022. Heavily influenced by Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Grabbitz is an uber-talented guitarist and vocalist, and still does most of his own vocals. If you want to rock out with some heavy hitting bass and some hip hop electronica, grab this set.

We can’t be the only ones who’ve been sleeping on Sara Benyo. The melodic bass and vocalist-DJ has a handful of releases this year featuring, “Something To Hold On To,” and a couple of collabs with Jessica Audiffred including “Never Be The Same.” Benyo has incredible energy on stage, a passion for fashion, and a dynamic voice to be reckoned with. Check her out!

SUNDAY

Sorry not sorry, we’re talking more dubstep, pumpkin. RL Grime is legit coming here 4 days before Halloween. Bassheads across the mountain west might show up screaming for a taste of Halloween XIII. IYKYK. RL Grime dropped “PLAY” last year, so this will be the first time debuting any of those tracks in Utah. He also probably-maybe-definitely had the best set at Ultra this year, teaming up with fellow trap artist Knock2.

We really hope this isn’t news to anyone, but don’t skip INZO. Yes, he’s toured here a bunch, he’s been on prior festival lineups, but the dude delivers. We have yet to see a bad set from him. The “Visonquest” EP and tour were a vibrant blend of vibes and bass. INZO has had a hocus pocus of travel/production misfortunes coming to Utah, so here’s to a smooth and flawless set dialing up production, please and thank you.

If you don’t have Bear Witness on a playlist yet, we’d recommend changing that. Gorilla T collabed with Jaenga on this track and it’s been on repeat since it dropped. His second album, “Third Eye Vision”, dropped in June and it’s filled with wonky bops that will take all you wooks over the moon. If you weren’t already planning on it, just be there.

Day-By-Day Lineups:

HONORABLE MENTION

Leaving you with a few other heavy hitters and FYI’s you may want to know. YDG just released a hot release of John Summit’s Go Back. Caspa B2B Rusko is a dubstep duo that has been working together since Fabriclive.37 in 2007 and performing together in the US since 2016. Netherlands based, Franky Nuts, is on his US debut tour this year. If you’re a new raver, we’d be remiss not to mention Noizu and Liquid Stranger.

Other FAQ’s: The Fairpark allows camel-baks and small clutches/fannies, the set times won’t drop until the Tuesday or Wednesday prior, and the hours of operation (4pm – 11pm) are earlier than the other festivals. Full list of FAQs is here

If you haven’t gotten your Festival Tickets yet, they are still available here.
