Slated for September 17th-19th, the event is free to attend, while 100% of donations go towards TreeSisters reforestation efforts to plant one million trees around the world.
“We once had six trillion trees on our planet. We’re down to 3 trillion. Building a global movement to add a trillion back in this decade not only gives us a decade to avert the worst of climate change, it will also give us the collective confidence to take on other big changes,” festival organizers said. “One million trees out of a trillion may not sound very impactful, but it’s a significant contribution that can inspire the next million efforts to reach that goal. Think of it as a global crowdfunding effort that can only succeed if all of us participate.”
