The Infamous Stringdusters Announce Forthcoming Album, ‘Toward The Fray’
The Infamous Stringdusters have announced the release of their forthcoming album, Toward The Fray, due out February 18th, 2022.
The album announcement follows the band’s hosting of the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards where the group’s Jeremy Garrett won “Instrumental Recording of the Year” for his fiddle part in the Jon Weisberger-produced performance of Earl Scruggs’ “Ground Speed.”
Keeping up the momentum, Toward The Fray will mark the band’s first original full-length LP since 2019’s Rise Sun and this year’s seven-track Bill Monroe cover album, A Tribute To Bill Monroe.
“It’s been fun to explore a little bit of The Dusters’ darker side for this album,” dobro player Andy Hall said in a statement. “Sometimes the times call for some serious reflection, and these songs really hit home. Get ready to go deep with us!”
The Infamous Stringdusters are about to hit the road for their Fall tour and will kick things off October 8th in Eureka Springs, AR’s Hillberry Music Festival before they headline Salt Lake City, UT’s The Commonwealth Room for a double header on November 13th and 14th. For tickets, head here.
