The Gaslight Anthem Announce First Headlining World Tour In Four Years

The Gaslight Anthem has announced they are returning to “full time” status as a band and will return to the road with their first headlining tour in four years.

The band – comprised of vocalist and guitarist Brian Fallon, bassist Alex Levine, drummer Benny Horowitz, and guitarist Alex Rosamilia – announced an indefinite hiatus in 2015 but later reunited in 2018 for a series of shows promoting the group’s The ’59 Sound Sessions, a nine-track set featuring rare and previously unreleased songs. Now, the four-piece are back in action, working on their sixth LP while embarking on a world tour.

“I am very pleased to announce to you all that The Gaslight Anthem is returning to full time status as a band,” said Fallon in a recent social media post. “We’re also beginning to write new songs for what will be our sixth LP. We’re looking forward to the future and seeing you all again. We want to thank you for staying with us.”

The Gaslight Anthem will embark on their U.K. and European leg of their comeback tour in August before coming back to play for their U.S. fans in September. The band will head out on their series of North American tour dates on September 13th at Portland, OR’s Roseland Theater, following with four additional dates before headlining Salt Lake City, UT’s The Union Event Center on September 20th with special guest Tigers Jaw. From there, the band will join with Jeff Rosenstock and continue through major music markets in Denver, CO (9/21); Chicago, IL (9/26); Detroit, MI (10/2); and Washington, D.C. (10/5). Scroll down to see a full list of upcoming tour dates.
