Taylor Swift Surprise Releases “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” [Listen/Stream]
Taylor Swift has surprise-released her “Taylor’s Version” of “Wildest Dreams.” The iconic pop-star shared the news of the release on TikTok, where she recently joined the platform just a month ago.
“Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor’s Version pls #wildestdreamstaylorsversion #swifttok #slowzoom,” Swift wrote on TikTok.
“Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” was previously released in the trailer for the 2021 animated film Spirit Untamed. Now, fans can listen to the new version of the 1989 track seven years after the original. Still marked at three minutes and 40 seconds, the singer’s new version adds a more dreamy, synth-pop backing, adding in a more dramatic and “fuller” recording of the song.

The new release follows Swift’s re-recorded Fearless: Taylor’s Version earlier this year. The singer has announced the release of a re-recording of 2012’s Red in November with an anticipating 30 reworked songs, including vaulted tracks with Chris Stapleton, Phoebe Bridgers, Ed Sheeran, and more.
Swift is currently off tour after having to initially postpone and then cancel her shows. At the time of publishing, Swift has no tour dates scheduled, but could be back on the road in 2022. Her last time in Utah was in 2015 while on her 1989 world tour.
