Soccer Mommy Announces New Album, ‘Sometimes, Forever,’ Shares New Single “Shotgun” [Watch/Listen]
Soccer Mommy has announced her third album, Sometimes, Forever, and has released the new single “Shotgun.” The new album will arrive June 24th via Loma Vista.
While the 22-year-old Nashville native Sophie Allison worked with producer Gabe Wax for her last two albums – 2018’s Clean and 2020’s color theory – she recruited electronic producer Daniel Lopatin for her latest music collection. The album’s title is a little nod to both Allison and her fans that no feeling or situation is ever permanent.
“Sorrow and emptiness will pass, but they will always come back around — as will joy. At some point you’re forced to say, I’ll just have to take both,” Allison remarked.
“Shotgun” sums up the singer’s conceptual theme quite well, pairing grungy guitar riffs with a bright lyrical chorus touching on themes of love. Watch the “Shotgun” official music video and listen via Spotify below and on all streaming platforms here.
