Simba Sax Sends Listeners Into A Vibrant Oasis In New Single, “Pools” [Stream/Listen]
Exotic electronic multi-instrumentalist Simba Sax has released the new single, “Pools” out today on all streaming platforms.
“Pools” marks the Salt Lake City-bred DJ and producer’s first single release of the new year. Manned by Moodlite’s own Evan Fleming, Simba Sax continues to push the boundaries of live electronic music, blending an auditory mosaic of progressive house rhythms, world bass, and jazz.
“For this song, I challenged myself into making something a bit different while still keeping true to my world-bass sound. Inspired by the likes of Troyboi and Polo & Pan, “Pools” is a psychedelic journey bridging the gap of mid-tempo house and trap. I wanted to create the feeling of discovering and diving into a vibrant oasis, only then to be drawn into its deep, dark, and cyclical depths,” he said.
Coming off a jam-packed season of continuous gigs throughout Utah, including sets supporting Equanimous and being a part of SLC’s Syndicate in September with SWAYLÓ and Plantae, and February’s Dreamer’s Delight and Russ Liquid, Simba Sax is gearing up for an even bigger year in music. The live electronic jazz producer is excited to release more music to his fanbase here in SLC, while also expanding his exotic sound out-of-state, including a set at California’s famed Lightning in a Bottle in May.
