Updated: Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce 2022 World Tour With Guitarist John Frusciante [Watch]
Red Hot Chili Peppers will hit the road for a 2022 world tour with the band’s longtime guitarist John Frusciante. The band revealed the world tour with a parody breaking news segment.
After officially reuniting with Frusciante in 2019, the world tour will mark the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first time touring with the longtime guitarist in 15 years. Representing the fun-natured antics of the band, the members put on their best 70s news anchor outfits for a parody breaking news segment for the tour announcement.

Frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea acted as co-anchors Johnson Hammerswaddle and Todd the Squirrel for the parody KHOT segment. Switching it over to drummer Chad Smith who played Randy Raindrops the weatherman, they welcomed Frusciante playing himself to break the news before “Give It Away” plays and the credits roll. Set to hit the road in June 2022, the band will tour through 32 cities around the world. Seville, Spain will see the first show of the tour on June 6th before the band will headline their first show in the U.S. at Denver, CO’s Empower Field at Mile High on July 23rd. At this time, Red Hot Chili Peppers do not have a scheduled show booked in Salt Lake City, UT.
