Lonely Heights Drop Punk Rock Summer Anthem “Welcome To Carnival” [Listen]
Just in time for Utah’s sweltering summer heat, Salt Lake City’s Lonely Heights have released the new single, “Welcome To Carnival.”
“Welcome To Carnival” comes following a trail of singles including “Don’t Hold Your Breath,” “Heard It’s Over,” “Okay,” and “I’ll Sleep Better When I’m Dead.” The newest track will be the band’s title track off their forthcoming EP later this year. And if the EP is anything like this new single, it’s going to be banger.
“Welcome To Carnival” kicks in with grungy guitar nods before the band – comprised of Kaiden Patch, Dan Hickman, Duke Smith, and Clifton Davis – turns it up to a full fledge punk rock anthem. The song compares the members’ energetic, rockstar lifestyle to the filthy, chaotic nature of a carnival. The band leaves nothing left untouched as the track eases into a modern punk rock guitar showdown before a quick cryptic circus-themed melody tops off the song’s theme. Patch rounds it out with a vocal highlight before Hickman, Smith, and Davis kick the chorus back in for one more belt out. Bursting with artistic harmonies, sounds, and punk rock ear-candy, “Welcome To Carnival” brilliantly illustrates each members’ strengths and artistic vision, making it one of SLC’s hottest summer anthems.
