Iron Maiden Adds 30 Additional Dates To ‘Legacy of the Beast’ 2022 World Tour
Iron Maiden are bringing their Legacy of the Beast tour to North America in 2022.
The heavy metal rock band announced 30 additional show dates to their world tour throughout America, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. The band first embarked on the Legacy of the Beast tour in Europe in 2018 and continued through 2019 before it was halted in 2020 due to COVID-19. The show has been seen by almost two million people across the globe and will continue to leave its mark across 30 more cities in 2022.
“Next summer we will finally get to play the huge European stadium and festival tour for Legacy of the Beast originally set for 2020. The new show will be even more spectacular so after our visit to Rock in Rio early September 2022 we have decided to take it back to our fans in North America and Mexico too, playing in cities or venues we did not get to last time we toured in 2019. We are also adding some of the great cities of eastern Europe we were not initially visiting,” Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood said.
“We’ll be making a couple of additions and changes to the production and setlist to include some songs from our new album Senjutsu and are making the 2022 version of Legacy of the Beast even more spectacular than the acclaimed original show. You can be sure that we will still be featuring all the “hits” and the key elements of the original tour like the Spitfire, Icarus, Hell, flamethrowers and pyro and the rest – but we will shake it up a bit and Trooper Eddie will have serious competition in the new Senjutsu ‘world’ we are adding.”
The 30 additional show additions will see Iron Maiden embark on a 54-date global tour, kicking off at Zagreb, Croatia’s Arena Zagreb on May 22nd. From there, the band will trek through all of Europe for the remainder of May, June, and July, before finishing off their international dates with a stop in Brazil on September 2nd and Mexico on September 7th.
After two headlining shows in Texas, Iron Maiden will stop through Oklahoma and Colorado to headline Salt Lake City, UT’s USANA Amphitheatre on September 19th. The remainder of the tour will see the band make stops up through the West coast and head East, finishing off with a grand finale at Tampa, FL’s Amalie Arena on October 27th.
“I’m really excited about the new additions to the stage production and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve got planned. The whole band has really enjoyed the Legacy tour and now we just can’t wait get back out on the road to play live, have fun and see everyone again,” vocalist Bruce Dickinson added.
Fan Club pre-sales for shows in the U.S. and Canada will open up on Tuesday, December 7th here. General on-sale tickets will be live on Friday, December 10th. Head to the band’s website for tickets and additional information. See below for a list of added tour dates.
