Flume Drops Two Singles From Forthcoming Album, ‘Palaces’ [Listen/Stream]

Whether you attended Coachella last weekend or raged from your bedroom, you may have been blessed with witnessing Flume’s collab-heavy set, including live sit-ins with Chaz Bear (Toro y Moi), Vince Staples, KUČKA, May-A, Laurel, and Caroline Polachek. He also surprised fans by debuting not one, but two songs from his forthcoming album, Palaces.

The pioneering electronic producer first released the title track, “Palaces,” featuring Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn. The track sets off with the relaxing sounds of birds and a lush forest as subtle nods of a piano chime in. More than halfway through, a beat kicks in alongside some echoing, distorted synths.

The second track, titled “ESCAPE,” highlights a huge collab with producer, Quiet Bison, as well as frequent Flume collaborator, KUČKA. The track starts to flow with shimmering sparkles alongside KUČKA’s beautifully sung vocals. The song then takes a turn, amplifying into a glitchy, electro drop. Listen and stream Flume’s new singles “Palaces” and “ESCAPE” below.
