Circles Around The Sun Parts Ways With Scott Metzger, Adds John Lee Shannon As New Guitarist

Circles Around The Sun has announced they will not move forward with guitarist Scott Metzger.

A statement from the band on socials announced, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Scott Metzger will unfortunately not be continuing with Circles Around The Sun. We had a blast working with him and are so grateful for his time with us. We wish him all the best.”

Guitarist John Lee Shannon will take Metzger’s place for the band’s upcoming tour dates, including their forthcoming show at Soundwell on September 14th.

Since the tragic suicide of band founder Neal Casal’s back in 2019, Circles Around The Sun has cycled through various guitarists, including Eric Krasno. It’s unclear if Circles Around The Sun will continue experimenting with guitarists in the future or try to find a more permanent replacement.
