Circle Jerks Announce First North American Tour In Over 15 Years
Circle Jerks have announced a Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 North American tour, marking the punk-rock band’s first North American tour in over 15 years.
Originally slated to reunite and tour in 2020 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of their debut album, Group Sex, but had to postpone due to COVID-19, Circle Jerks are now on their way back to the road for their official celebration.
Currently comprised of Keith Morris (vocals), Greg Hetson (guitar), Zander Schloss (bass), and Joey Castillo (drums), Circle Jerks will kick off their long-anticipated tour at Albuquerque, NM’s Sunshine Theatre on October 27th and continue for 10 additional tour dates through the end of the year. The band will then get back on the road in February to finish off the remainder of the tour, including a stop at Salt Lake City, UT’s The Complex on March 17th. 7 Seconds, Adolescents, Negative Approach, Municipal Waste, and The Bouncing Souls will provide rotating support on select dates.
While the band has released six original albums since the ‘80s, Circle Jerks haven’t released any new full-length LPs since 1995’s Oddities, Abnormalities, and Curiosities. In 2007, the group released the one-off single “I’m Gonna Live,” but has yet to announce any new forthcoming music.
Check out the full list of upcoming tour dates below. Tickets for Circle Jerks’ headlining show at SLC’s The Complex can be found here. For more information, visit the band’s website.
