Cheez-It Teams Up With Pandora To Create First-Ever Sonically-Aged Cheese Snack Using Music From Iconic Hip-Hop Artists

The latest news in the everyday simulation that we call reality, Cheez-It and Pandora have partnered together to create new “sonically-aged” crackers.

Before you jump to the most insane conclusions, it’s actually not that uncommon to age alcoholic beverages to music, including beer, wine, and whiskey having all received a healthy dose of musical melodies to enhance their taste. In a 2019 study conducted by Bern University of the Arts in Switzerland, researchers found that aging cheese to hip-hop music can “strengthen taste and smell.”

The study suggests that the tempo and sonic frequency of certain hip-hop songs could take the classic, absurdly satisfying flavor of the classic cheesy, crunchy snack, made with 100% real cheese, to the next level. Cheez-It enlisted the help of Pandora to find hip-hop songs with similar attributes to those from the study and create the first-ever sonically-aged snack by iconic hip-hop artists. And the artists you may ask that were included in the aging process? Pandora chose only the highest caliber, including A Tribe Called Quest, LL Cool J, The Roots, Beastie Boys, and Snoop Dogg for the six and a half month aging process.
