12th Annual Bunny Hop Returns For Easter Sunday Celebration
New City Movement’s Jesse Walker and SLUG Magazine have announced the date and artist lineup for this year’s 12th annual Bunny Hop.
After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Easter Sunday celebration will return once again to Garage On Beck on Sunday, April 17th to raise funds for Utah’s Hip-hop Education and Resource Center (HERC), dedicated to hip-hop history, arts, and education through its dance, art, and after-school programming.
The day-long “hop” hopes to carry the tradition of fostering community interaction and goodwill through its spring fever celebration while making a positive social impact. Slated to perform at this year’s Bunny Hop include NCM lounge producer Johnny Peppinger, as well as Rockin’ Robin, DJ Retrograde, James Beard, Condrick, TK, J Godina, Matthew Fit, Choice, and Typefunk. In addition to the award-winning local music lineup, the event will also feature a brunch buffet, prizes, an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny appearances, and more.
Going on its 24th year, New City Movement hopes to continue its forward-thinking ethos and continue making positive impacts in and around SLC’s culture, arts, and music communities. Bunny Hop has become one of SLC’s longest-running charity events, connecting the city’s largest, most diverse set of people together for a collected goal of having fun and making a difference for the city at large.
