Anomalie & Masego Team Up For Jazzy Neo-Soul Collab, “Memory Leaves” [Watch/Listen]

We’re pretty sure we just found this week’s hottest new collaboration. Atlanta’s saxophone and Grammy-nominated R&B star Masego and Montreal’s synth-funk wizard Anomalie have released the new song, “Memory Leaves.”

“Memory Leaves” comes as a classic Anomalie piano-laden jazz tune, jived up by Masego’s neo-soul, sulty smooth lyrics. The three-minute track will take you on a free-flowing listening experience full of featherlight key melodies and evocative hip-hop verses.

The two musicians recently reconnected after both attended a retreat hosted by DJ Jazzy Jeff. A quick friendship led the duo to the no-brainer musical collaboration. Watch the official lyric video below and listen on all streaming platforms here.

Anomalie’s latest collaboration with Masego comes following his previously released singles the past year “Bond,” “Dribble,” and his Herbie Hancock cover, “Come Running To Me,” all of which will appear on Anomalie’s forthcoming album, Galerie, due out April 29th. He’ll embark on his three-month Galerie World Tour with a live band starting in May and will make a stop at Salt Lake City, UT’s Soundwell on June 11th.
