A 20 Year Hangover: Bowling For Soup’s Anniversary Tour
Fondly considered to be one of the pioneers of the pop punk movement, Texan rockers Bowling For Soup are having a career year in 2024. Commemorating 2 enormous milestones: 30 years as a band and the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking album and namesake of their 2024 tour, A Hangover You Don’t Deserve.
This Saturday, October 12th, take a trip down memory lane with us when the band brings their tour to The Depot in Downtown SLC!
Known for their cheeky take on pop-punk and melodic alt-pop, the four-piece collective have managed a fairly diverse and prolific output within their tuneful pop-punk confines, releasing three live albums, two Christmas albums, a collection of movie and television themes, and an acoustic release — they even wrote the theme song for the cult classic cartoon Phineas and Ferb.
Bowling For Soup’s fifth LP, A Hangover You Don’t Deserve, was released on September 14, 2004. Its lead single, 1985, landed the Number Five spot on the US Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart. The last 30 years have been an incredible ride for Bowling For Soup, and the profound mark they have made with UK fans who continue to be hugely loyal to the band, demonstrated wonderfully by the routinely sold tours and arenas.
Tickets for this Saturday’s show at The Depot are still available, and can be purchased HERE.
