Live Nite Events & Realine Group Announce Joint Acquisition Of SKY SLC
Salt Lake City-based event production company Live Nite Events and rapidly growing local hospitality enterprise Realine Group have just announced their joint acquisition of SLC’s most recognized nightlife venue and event space, SKY.
Located in downtown SLC, the 15,000 square-foot, open-air building is complete with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, 20 VIP suites, and an iconic retractable glass roof. Since breaking ground on the building in 2015, SKY has hosted thousands of nationally recognized touring artists and has become a staple of the city’s nightlife and entertainment scene. The venue is also home to Trellis, one of SLC’s premier rooftop bars that regularly hosts free sunset house parties every Sunday in the summer season.
SKY will join the growing list of SLC live music venues, restaurants, and bars now under joint ownership and management of Live Nite Events and Realine Group, including the 600-person capacity downtown venue Soundwell and the city’s pair of modern American restaurants and bars, Ivy & Varley.
Having been on the forefront of SLC’s entertainment scene since 2007, LNE and Realine Group have played an integral role in the city’s growth and development. Guests can expect a welcoming and customer-focused experience along with a comprehensive audit of past security concerns associated with the venue. Additionally, the team will continue to enlist the programming support of V2 Presents – Utah’s leading electronic music promotions company and entity behind Das Energi Festival – who have maintained a longstanding relationship with SKY and helped develop the brand to what it is today.
“We plan to maintain everything cherished about SKY while working to further elevate both the fan experience and the level of talent that graces the stage,” Vaughn Carrick, owner of Live Nite Events said. “SKY has developed a strong reputation as the city’s go-to nightlife destination and we intend to further cement that by bringing our team’s collective experience to the venue’s operations – striving to enhance Salt Lake City’s music scene as a whole.”
Live Nite Events has a strong concert schedule for the summer season, including Dirty Heads on June 29th, Big Gigantic on July 6th, Matisyahu on August 7th, and more. For a full list of upcoming shows and additional information, visit Live Nite Event’s website.
