Jack Harlow Lands Debut Acting Role In ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ Reboot

Jack Harlow has announced he is trading his rapping career for acting. Just kidding. The Louisville rapper will, however, make his acting debut and star in 20th Century Fox’s new reboot of White Men Can’t Jump.

Originally released in 1992, the basketball comedy will get a 21st century revamp featuring a script by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall. Harlow will play the role of protagonist Billy Hoyle, originally cast by Woody Harrelson. We’ll be seeing Harlow in his true element, hustling streetballers and making all the jumps, which we did see recently during his play in the NBA All-Star Weekend’s Celebrity Game.

According to Deadline, Harlow was offered the starring role after his first screen audition for the part. Needless to say, it’s pretty remarkable that Harlow got a lead role and landed his first-ever acting gig on the first try.

Along with the new acting gig, Harlow has been making incredible waves in the music scene. The rapper made his musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live last year, while his career-setting single with Lil Nas X “Industry Baby” reached over 1 billion streams alone on Spotify. His most recent single “Nail Tech” also debuted at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100. He even earned praise by Kanye West on the new single, stating on Instagram, “This n—a can raaaaaaap bro. And I’m saying n—a as a compliment Top 5 out right now.”

Harlow is currently out on his global tour and is slated to headline Las Vegas, NV’s Zouk Nightclub March 17th. He recently made his appearance in Salt Lake City in November at The Depot.
